Bootstrap Responsive Grid System Issue: Seeking Solutions
I'm experimenting with Bootstrap to create a responsive grid system on my webpage, but it seems like something is amiss. The columns are not behaving as expected, and I can't quite put my finger on the issue.
This is my code
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
<head>
<meta charset="UTF-8">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">
<title>Grid Grief</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://stackpath.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/4.5.2/css/bootstrap.min.css">
</head>
<body>
<div class="container">
<div class="row">
<div class="col-md-6">
<p>Column 1</p>
</div>
<div class="col-md-6">
<p>Column 2</p>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-3.5.1.slim.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/@popperjs/core@2.5.2/dist/umd/popper.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://stackpath.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/4.5.2/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
The columns should be side by side on larger screens, but they are stacking vertically instead. Any idea what might be causing this grid grief?
