Snowflake: invalid_grant Access Token Error
Overview
This error comes from your Snowflake connection because it has become invalid. By default, the Snowflake OAuth refresh token is valid for 90 days. Once it expires, the connection can no longer authenticate and returns the invalid_grant error.
Resolution
Step 1: Re-authenticate the Snowflake connection in Skyvia
- Go to Skyvia → Connections.
- Find and open your Snowflake connection.
- Click Edit.
- Click Sign in with Snowflake to re-authenticate via OAuth.
- After successful authorization, click Save.
- Click Test Connection to verify.
Step 2: Extend the token validity period (optional)
If you want to change the default 90-day token validity period, ask your Snowflake account administrator to contact Snowflake Support with the request.
After the validity period is changed, you need to re-authenticate in the Skyvia Snowflake connector to obtain a new token with the updated expiry.
