I'm attempting to make a connection to mysql on a namecheap shared hosting account.

There is documentation on how to establish SSH connection with a SSH tunnel on a local host with putty.

I'm wondering if there is a way to do this directly from skyvia?

https://www.namecheap.com/support/knowledgebase/article.aspx/1249/89/how-to-remotely-connect-to-a-mysql-database-located-on-our-shared-server/#putty

Anyone had success setting up a connection to a mysql on a shared hosting account?

I'm able to get through the SSH, but mysql is not responding. I'm using namecheap SSH.

Hello,

The issue comes from the MySQL side and is, most likely, related to the configuration of your MySQL database. We recommend you to check these articles and contact your database administrator:

Best regards,

Mariia
