Dear support team,

we are currently evaluating Skyvia for transferring data between a MySQL database (holds tables provided by SAP) and Atlassian Jira Service Management (Cloud). We have set up a trial so far and are explorring some options which your solution provides.

As we are working on a proof of concept and therefore can't invest a major part of our time on simply trying things, I would like to request a short call. Mostly to ask some questions on the possibilities and features of your product in our specific technical use case. Would that be possible?

If so, we have scheduled our next work session for Novemer 8th, 9.00 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. CET.

Also we would need at least 2-3 custom fields from Jira to read and write from. Is this also possible?

If so, how would this work if we need more custom fields to implement the final solution if Skyvia checks all the boxes? Is it simply an option, which you unlock or do you need to implement each field?

Thank you and best regards,

Thomas Balasch

Hello Thomas,

Our Sales team will contact you in regard to the call as soon as possible. Please note, we do not provide technical support by phone for now. However, we can schedule a demo call with you to answer all possible questions regarding Skyvia functionality, products, etc.

As for custom fields, Skyvia does not support custom fields in the default Jira connector.

However, it is possible to implement via a custom REST connection.

We can investigate your scenario and prepare all the necessary data to create it for you (we will describe the authentication type and prepare metadata with custom fields).

After that, based on this data, you will need to create a REST connection in Skyvia and use it in your package.

If such an option suits you, please send us the following information:

- specify tables and API names of custom fields;

- fields data types (with maximum length if it's a string);

We will review the details and provide you with the metadata file.

Later, you can add other custom fields to this metadata file based on the example.

Best regards,

Mariia

Hello Mariia,

would you be so kind and give me an example for what needs to be provided exactly?

If such an option suits you, please send us the following information:

- specify tables and API names of custom fields;

- fields data types (with maximum length if it's a string);

This task will be handled by our external Atlassian Partner, so they asked for more details.

Thank you and have a nice weekend,

Thomas

Hello Thomas,

Thank you for your reply.

API names of Jira custom fields should look like this: customfield_10000

You can use Postman to retrieve all the information about custom fields by executing this request - your_domain.atlassian.net/rest/api/3/field/search?isCustom=true

Example (you need to specify your Domain and User/Pwd):

http://prntscr.com/p9q070

Save and send us the result of this request including only information about the required custom field(s), and we will investigate the possibility to implement this for you.

Best regards,

Mariia
