I am not currently able to open a new account for my company, I just get an error when trying to sign up.

I'm going to https://skyvia.com/backup/jira-backup, clicking sign up which takes me to https://id.skyvia.com/core/register?signin=0888a392bcf139754db6d66fc6af0625, filling in the information, and clicking sign up but then I get the following error page in IE and Chrome both:

Server Error in '/' Application.

String or binary data would be truncated.

The statement has been terminated.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: String or binary data would be truncated.

The statement has been terminated.

Source Error:

An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.

Stack Trace:

[SqlException (0x80131904): String or binary data would be truncated.

The statement has been terminated.]

I can provide the rest of the error if needed.

Hello Colen,

Thank you for contacting our Skyvia Team and thank you for the details of the error!

Please clarify did you manage to create an account later or not?

Best regards,

Mariia

No. It didn't work at all, it just kept throwing that error. I haven't tried again today yet.

I'm now able to create an account. I got an error that the email address was too long so I used an alias and successfully created the account. When looking at the details for connecting Jira it said for custom field support to reach out to support. Should I open a separate ticket for that?

Hello Colen,

Glad to see that the issue with the account is resolved.

As for the Jira custom fields, yes, Skyvia does not support custom fields in the default Jira connector.

Custom Jira fields can be obtained only via custom REST connection. This approach requires some additional information from you and investigation from our side. If it is possible to implement, we will prepare all the necessary data to create the REST connection for you (we will describe the type of authentication, prepare metadata with custom fields). After that, based on this data, you will need to create a REST connection in Skyvia and use it in your package.

If such an option suits you, please send us the following information:

- specify tables and API names of custom fields;

- specify fields data types (with maximum length if it's a string).

Best regards,

Mariia

Thank you, I'll continue exploring the options Skyvia has in the default connector and if we move forward there I'll reach back out with the requested information to capture custom field information as well. Thank you for your help and information!
