connection failed error

Trying to execute my package "ADRS Import" produces the following error:

Package failed: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond

However, when I test both the source (SFTP) and destination (Salesforce) connections they both succeed. So what is the problem with the connection? Which connection? How do I troubleshoot this? Right now our package will not run due to this error.

 Hello,

This error occurs due to the same issue as it was previously with the "The 'data' argument is not valid"/ "Client not connected" errors.

This error occurs on an attempt to download a file from SFTP and may be related to different issues on the SFTP side, e.g. file was not available at that point of time, permissions issue, etc.

The issue is not related to Skyvia and cannot be fixed from our side.

We recommend you to check settings on the SFTP side (e.g. its availability/stability, permissions, etc).

Best regards,

Mariia

I have been logging in for weeks with those same premissions when building the package in Skyvia and it works fine, and it still does, so it can read the files fine. I also have been using the same SFTP site & login with those same premissions with a different app and can read/write the same files that the Skyvia integration is trying to read. So permissions or availability don't seem to be an issue.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately, we cannot give you more comments on this issue as it is not related to Skyvia and cannot be fixed from our side.

This issue comes from an SFTP client (Renci.SshNet) and occurs on an attempt to download a file from your SFTP. The process of getting the file is interrupted for some reason (file is not available, network issues, etc.).

What would cause your app to be able to

1) test the connetion successfully

2) list the files in the SFTP site when building a task

3) access the contents of the files to get column headers and data types

But not connect at run-time?

Given that we can use many other apps or locations with the same credentials and download files just fine, access is not the problem. This seems only specific to run-time with your app.

I just noticed that there was a checkbox at the top of the package for "Use new runtime". I unchecked that box and it does seem to connect and process files now. So there is a bug in your system with your "new runtime", clearly.

(It would have saved a lot of time for us if you had suggested that first.)
