How to question

I use an import integration to create records in SalesForce. After this is complete I need SalesForce to update the original SQL data source with the new ID value of the created row. Is there a way to create this as a single job instead of a series of separate jobs.

I may be missing something but so far only the import type appears to work to create the rows in SalesForce. The replication works from SalesForce back to update records that have changed in SQL but not a type available for the replication type. Maybe Synchronization?

Thanks this is helpful. I was able to look at the sample and I was able to reduce the number of packages to two instead of three.

Still not ideal but better than it was before.

Hello Ken,

Thank you for submitting a ticket with us.

The workflow for scenario that is similar to yours is described in this comment. This can be done with two packages only.

The difference is that instead of updating flags, you need to set up an Id field in the second package that you need to update according to your requirements.

We are looking forward to hearing from you, should you have any questions.
