We use 2 SFTP-Connections in Skyvia and when testing them or using them in a package the following error message pops-up:

A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond

Can this be due to the new White-Listing that is required?

Best regards

Christoph

Hello Christoph,

Yes, this could be related to new IP addresses. Please note, new IP has been recently updated. At the moment, Skyvia uses two IP addresses: 40.118.246.204 and 13.86.253.112.

Please tell us if this information helps.

Best regards,

Mariia

Hi There,

I am trying to connect a SFTP server and when I test the connection it is giving me a error message

"A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond"

As suggested on your help and support page I have got both the IP address whitelisted for inbound and outbound.

When I test this using a desktop WinSCP app it works. The only difference is that the desktop app use PPK file for authentication where as the Skyvia I have changed this to Open SSH.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Deidre,

Currently, Skyvia uses three static IPs. Please make sure all of them are whitelisted: 40.118.246.204, 13.86.253.112, and 52.190.252.0.

Please check and tell us if this information helps.

Best regards,

Mariia
