Error on tables and Metadata loading fails

Production instance down again. 

Metadata loading error, recreated endpoint but still same error. Getting the following showing up on the endpoint:-

The error from salesforce states the following: - 

Error received from the external system: 500: { "error":{ "code":"","message":"A task was canceled." } 

Spoke to AWS support who said there is absolutely no load on their servers and have confirmed its a middleware fault.

 Metadata has now loaded. 

The following shows the error spike for over an hour -

If you click the failed request in the Log, do you see any additional details in the opened History Details window?

No, it does not occur currently. but this happens nearly every month, If you have a look back at my previous tickets you will see it has happened on multiple times and its only this issue I have brought up. I don't know what the fix is except recreating connection and endpoint each time this occurs, even then it may not fix it and I have to sit and wait for the Metadata to load somehow. 

 

The reason this is pressing for me is that we are using Skyvia with a production system, if Skyvia starts causing problems, not one of the 3000 users we have on Salesforce are able to search the external objects and we have to go back to writing things down with pen and paper and then go back to Salesforce once the Skyvia issue is resolved.

If you have a look back at my previous tickets you will see it has happened on multiple times and its only this issue I have brought up.

We can see one of your previous requests, but we cannot confirm that the issues are the same. In your previous topic, we asked you to provide additional information for further investigation.

 

Yesterday we have applied a fix for the "A task was canceled" issue. If the issue with slow metadata loading will occur again, please let us know and we will conduct a deeper investigation from our side.
