I am using the using connector and we need to access the custom fields in jira connector e.g. custom fields in our service desk project? How can we do that. I´ve read in the documentation that its not possible in the default jira connector and we have to connect you in this case.

Thanks!

Hi Alexander!

Yes, Skyvia does not support custom fields in the default Jira connector.

Custom Jira fields can be obtained only via custom REST connection. This approach requires some additional information from you and investigation from our side. If it is possible to implement, we will prepare all the necessary data to create REST connection for you (we will describe the type of authentication, prepare metadata with custom fields). After that, based on this data, you will need to create a REST connection in Skyvia and use it in your package.

If such an option suits you, please send us the following information:

- specify tables and API names of custom fields;

- fields data types (with maximum length if it's a string);

- an example of your data in these custom fields.

We will review the details and check the possibility to implement this.

Looking forward to your reply.

Best regards,

Mariia

Hi,

in JIRA Cloud it is not possible to connect the database.

Would it be possible to access rest REST API from JIRA?

see https://docs.atlassian.com/jira/REST/latest/?_ga=2.209343058.1173719121.1571053596-389525936.1553765648

Hi Alexander!

Yes, Skyvia works with Jira via its REST API.
