Hi Team,

I have issue with Cancel Button i Skyvia. I am trying to cancel my running package but it does not get cancelled and still running. Itshown cancelling and then shows Running status. This way, it consumes lot of time and effort. Also it consumes my license limit for data integration. I am running a package with Id#39680556 and I have cancelled it many times, but still it is running and at the end it shows 0 processed records and 0 Error records.

Please help me with this issue.

Hello,

As we can see your package has been canceled.

Canceled runs and failed records are not counted.

Please feel free to ask any further questions.

Best regards,

Mariia

Yes, I agree. But it did not stop just after cancelling. It was running for 1hr and 26 minutes while I cancelled it in 2 minutes after start. And due to this, it consumed the limit provided in my license.

I have issue with tim taken to cancel that it did not get cancel actually but due to clicking on cancel button, it run whole job and showed as cancelled at the end. I needed to make some changes in my mapping but it did not get cancel and continued to run for 1hr and 26 minutes which wasted a lot of time and efforts.

And the same happened 2 times #39680556 and #39676546. You can see the run time also when I cancelled after 2-3 minutes only.

Regards,

Ibha

Hello Ibha,

If you just click "Cancel", the package will not be stopped immediately. When you click Cancel, the current task execution continues. After the completion of the current task, the package stops. If there are more tasks in the package, they are not executed. If your package contains only one task, the cancel operation takes as much time as it is required for the package completion.

However, there is a feature that allows to enforce cancellation and don't wait for task completion. It's available in the new Skyvia UI. Did you try it?

Once you click "Cancel", another button appears at the same place - "Forcibly stop". It kills the worker that is in charge of task execution immediately and a package stops right after you clicked it.

And due to this, it consumed the limit provided in my license.

Do you mean Skyvia limits? If yes, canceled jobs are not counted.

Best regards,

Mariia
