We're testing out the backup of our Salesforce database.  When we previously attempted a full backup, we exceeded the daily API call usage.  Is there a way to limit the API calls that skyvia backup uses (even if it means the backup is spread out over multiple days)?

Hi Joe,

Thank you for contacting Skyvia Team.

As for the number of API calls used, when Salesforce is used as a source, to query its data Skyvia uses:

- 1 API call per 2000 records without custom long text area fields or with 1 such field;

- 1 API call per 200 records when 2 or more custom long text fields are queried;

- 1 API call per 1 Attachment record.

Please note that every time a full backup is performed, and Skyvia queries all the data from backed up objects.

There are a lot of objects in your package. We would recommend dividing it to different backup jobs and running on separate days, so that the daily limit is not reached.

Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us back.

Is there any way to script a filter?

Adding/editing 500+ filters manually via the GUI would get quite tedious.

Hi Joe,

Thank you for getting back to us.

To our regret, it is not possible.

Objects differ highly and can't meet identical filter conditions.
