Malformed CSV Error

Hi,

My UPSERT operations have been failing entirely for several days and the error given is: "Malformed CSV result."

Most recent Run ID: 65637775, Package ID: 103268

This operation has worked consistently for quite some time, and I'm not aware of any changes to the Package or either of the connections that might trigger a problem. 

The set-up is: 

  • CSV file in AWS S3
  • Upsert mapping into Marketo

Both connections have been tested successfully. 

Underlying csv file does not appear to have been changed, this is also indicated by a lack of errors in other platforms which also read data from the same csv file. 

Are you able to tell me more about what the problem is? 

Is there a Error code description list somewhere in your documentation perhaps you can share a link/location as I couldn't find anything.

Hello Cameron, 

We have submitted the request with our technical team to investigate the issue, I will let you know the result. 
For now we can say that the error occures during the reading Marketo Leads table. 
As a workaround you could try to uncheck the Use Bulk Extract check box in your Marketo connection and try to run the package. 
Please inform us if it works for you.

Hi Olena, 

I still haven't heard back from your team and it is still not working as expected.

I tried the proposed option to uncheck the Use Bulk Extract check box in my Marketo connection. This resulted in new data being uploaded to Marketo, but not the updates to existing data. 

I then get the error saying lead already exists and it doesn't appear to acknowledge that it is an UPSERT operation or that ID mapping which is supposed to indicate which leads are already in Marketo and update them accordingly. 

A bit disappointed as this has been around a week without any indication of a resolution.

Hello Craig, 

Great. Thank you for informing us. 
The file format has been changed on the Marketo side for Leads bulk extract mode. 
We updated it on our side in our Marketo connector and it fixed the problem.
