Hello, could we have assistance setting up a SalesForce to Netsuite Sync? We have around 20k contacts in SalesForce that we would like replicated inside Netsuite once a day.

I have setup the connections but I can't get the tasks to work. It's running now but there are 0 cotnacts brought over.

Some other issues we have are missing custom fields inside Netsuite we need data brought into. Also we would like the ability to associate the contacts with companies inside netsuite using a linked ID field inside Salesforce. Example would be 30 contacts from GE in salesofrce, have them associated with GE in netsuite.

All the runs for this package are canceled, thus, we cannot tell you whether there were any errors or not, etc.

Also, as we can see you have created a Synchronization package. Note, that this package is used to synchronize data in both directions - from source to target and vice versa. If you need to migrate data from Salesforce to NetSuite one-way, you should use the Import package.

Some other issues we have are missing custom fields inside Netsuite we need data brought into

In order to see custom fields, you should select the "Use Custom Fields" in your NetSuite connection. This checkbox is used when you need to work with custom fields of predefined NetSuite tables in Skyvia. However, please note that processing custom fields may take a substantial amount of time, and it's better not to select this checkbox if you don't need to work with custom fields in Skyvia.

Please refer to https://skyvia.com/resources/docs/netsuite_connections.htm

Also, pay attention to the "NetSuite-Specific Features and Limitations" section.

Also we would like the ability to associate the contacts with companies inside NetSuite using a linked ID field inside Salesforce.

NetSuite Contacts table has the company_internalId field that refers to Customer, Vendor, Partner or Job object: https://www.netsuite.com/help/helpcenter/en_US/srbrowser/Browser2016_1/schema/record/contact.html

If you already have created companies (i.e. vendors or customers) in NetSuite, you can use Constant or Lookup mapping for this case.

Meanwhile, could you please specify this case in more detail, for example, specify what fields are used for Company Id in your NetSuite and Salesforce Contacts objects, whether these fields are custom, etc.?

Best regards,

Mariia

Hello Mariaa, thank you for your detailed response!

We infact do want to bi directionally sync the contact info.

The Salesforce field for the company ID is "AccountId" and Netsuite needs "company" however I when I tried to set this it was not creating any contacts because I believe the ID's did not match. I would like to be able to create all contacts and if they company name in salesforce and netsuite match then add the accountID to company field. Basically this will allow me to slowly go through our Salesforce cotnacts and update the accountIDs to match netsuite.

The last piece of the puzzle is to bring over the companies in Salesforce that aren't in netsuite at all.

edit: also I have the Custom Fields box checked off but the netsuite custom fields are not showing up. The fields we need are:

custentityresalecert

custentitypeachtreeid

custentityshippinginformation1

custentitypeachtreeterms

Dear Thomas,

Thank you for details.

Both AccountId field from Salesforce Contact and company_internalId field from NetSuite Contact are autogenerated foreign keys. So, unfortunately, it's not possible to implement with standard fields, you cannot map one to another.

As a workaround, you can create a custom field in NetSuite that will bear the values of AccountId and configure a lookup mapping with the option "Set null when no match found". Skyvia will try to find a match between AccountId from Salesforce and NetSuite custom field and, in case there is no match, create a new company in NetSuite.

Regarding custom fields that are not showing up, provide us with the detailed step-by-step description of how these fields were created in NetSuite. We would appreciate screenshots.

We are looking forward to your reply.
