Hi,

I'm doing a POC with skyvia. I can access my MS-SQL database on my windows server with the provided Skyvia Client Agent.

Like mentionned in the installation guide, I'd like to start that agent as a windows service.

I can't find a way to perform such action.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Hello Antonio,

Thank you for contacting our Skyvia Team.

Skyvia Agent is a console application. It's not possible to run an agent as a service.

We will update the corresponding information in the installation guide.

Best regards,

Mariia

as a workaround, you can create the windows service using https://nssm.cc/ . We use it for all CLI programs which don't support service by default.

Hello,

Skyvia application has been updated recently and it is possible to run Agent as a Windows service currently. You can install it into the system with the following command:

Skyvia.Agent.Client.exe -i

A command to delete the service:

Skyvia.Agent.Client.exe -u

A command to start the service:

net start Skyvia.Agent.Client.exe

Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us back.

Best regards,

Mariia
