Hi,

We are trying to connect to Marketing Cloud (SFMC) via FTP option but unable to, receiving an error 'Timed out trying to read data from the socket stream!'

Do we have to whitelist any IP addresses on SFMC to allow connection from Skyvia, though we did set it to 'Full' permissions.

Thanks,

Rahul

 Hello Rahul,

Thank you for contacting Skyvia Support Team.

Please make sure that your FTP is configured so that both Skyvia's IPs are whitelisted: 40.118.246.204 and 13.86.253.112.

Let us know if you need any further assistance.

Kind regards,

Nataliia

Hi Nataliia,

I tried with whitelisting the IPs, but no luck - still recieving the same error. Is it possible to get on a call and we look into this issue?

Thanks,

Rahul

Hello Rahul,

Thank you for the update.

Are you able to connect with any third-party client except Skyvia?

We look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Nataliia

Hello Rahul,

There are various connection protocols - FTP, FTPS (FTP + encryption) and SFTP.

SFTP is a Secure File Transfer Protocol for transferring large files over the web. It builds on the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) and includes Secure Shell (SSH) security components.

Please note that you need to use the connection protocol that is relevant for your server.

Could you please check the server settings and make sure that you’ve chosen a relevant connection for it?

We look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Nataliia

Hi Support - I am sure this is not the 1st time someone is trying to connect to Marketing Cloud.

We are able to SFTP from Filezilla to Marketing Cloud.

Our SFTP host recommends to whitelist to the IP's 13.110.204.24 and 13.110.208.5 - 13.110.208.15 to establish the connection, would you be able to accommodate that on our Skyvia account ?

Thank you!

Yes, please make sure that both Skyvia's IPs for a relevant FTP/SFTP connection are whitelisted: 40.118.246.204 and 13.86.253.112.

Please let us know what the outcome is.

We look forward to hearing from you.
