Update to Task

Hi,

We have package https://app.skyvia.com/#/79779/packages/125185 that does a daily export.

As this package's query needs to have specific headings, we had to get Skyvia support to enable that as part of the query.  Thanks - that is working well.

We would not like to change the exported file name to be unique each time.  When reviewing, this is as a case of removing the tasks - Targe Filename.

If I do this, I believe this will upset the query above the I do a save.

Is updating this field something that can be done by us, or is there something that Skyvia needs to do.

Our ideal naming convention would be the following if at all possible:

File naming convention YYYY-MM-DD_GreenhamTasmania_OsiOrderDetails

EG 2021-12-12_GreenhamTasmania_OsiOrderDetails

Hello Graeme,

Thank you for contacting the Skyvia Support team.

We recommend that you review the following guide on how to import CSV file via file masks:

https://docs.skyvia.com/data-integration/import/importing-CSV-files-via-file-masks.html

For example, if the following mask “export_{MM_dd_yyyy}.csv” is used, when a package is executed on September 19, 2019, it will try to load a file export_09_19_2019.csv. If no such file is found, the package run will fail.

Please let us know if this fits your needs.

Thanks,

That appears to be what we are after.

I'm trying to change the name to GreenhamCartons_{MM_dd_yyyy}.csv

However, when I edit the task on https://app.skyvia.com/#/79779/packages/125185 and attempt to save, it asks me to remap the columns.

We had previously logged a case to get the query column headings overriden.  I'm concerned any new reselecting columns will remove the previous updating from the query.

Can you please either:

1. Chagne the filename to GreenhamCartons_{MM_dd_yyyy}.csv

2. Advise if I update, but select columns will that override the query columns setup from previously.  If so, how can I correct that.

Hello Graeme,

Thank you for contacting Skyvia Support team.

If we understood your request correctly you intend to use a file mask option in the Export Package which is not possible.

Additionally, it looks like none of the columns were chosen in the package so you can't save it.

Follow the link below to know more about Export Package in Skyvia:

Let us know if you need any further assistance.
