When using the FTP or SFTP connector, you may encounter these common errors: "No such file" and "No such host is known".
Both typically occur due to access issues with your SFTP server, particularly related to IP whitelisting.
1. "No such file" - this error occurs if only one of Skyvia’s IP addresses is whitelisted on your FTP/SFTP server. In this case, while the Skyvia website can connect to your server, the runtime environment cannot.
Skyvia uses 3 servers, each with a unique IP address:
40.118.246.204
13.86.253.112
52.190.252.0
Please make sure all of them are whitelisted on your FTP/SFTP server.
2. "No such host is known" usually indicates that Skyvia cannot resolve your FTP/SFTP server’s hostname. To fix this, check that all three Skyvia IP addresses mentioned above are whitelisted and that your server’s DNS name is correct and publicly accessible.
Feel free to explore more of this in our documentation. Below are the articles that provide a deeper look into the topic.
Following these steps will help you resolve the most common issues when working with the FTP/SFTP Connector.
